Virgin Money Foundation Launches #iwill Take Action Fund (North East of England)

The Virgin Money Foundation is match funding Big Lottery Funds to create a £1.7million, three year #iwill Take Action Fund.

The #iwill campaign aims to ensure that 60% of 10 to 20-year-olds across the UK are taking part in meaningful social action by 2020. Priority will be given to organisations with a base in the North East, working in areas with high levels of deprivation, who are deeply rooted within their local context. Virgin Money is looking to support projects where young people have been involved in the planning of the project and will continue to be involved for the duration of the grant. Grants of £10,000 up to £60,000 for up to two years activity are available.

Activities must include volunteering, campaigning or fundraising and will be assessed on how well they reflect the #iwill 6 principals of great social action. Find out more about the 6 principals here.

Eligible applicants will be working with young people aged 10 to 20 or up to 25 for disabled people who are:

  • Living in the top 5% deprived areas of the North East
  • BAME youth
  • Young parents
  • Young offenders
  • Young homeless people.

Apply at any time up to December 2018.
