Mike has significant expertise in the development of Performance and Quality Assurance processes throughout a range of Learning Providers including FE Colleges, WBL, ACL, VI Form Colleges and Prisons. Drawing on over two decades of experience, including Ofsted inspections, he supports organisations of all sizes in developing and strengthening quality and performance management systems to ensure the provider is Ofsted ready either as a prime/subcontractor or those companies aspiring to grow and secure other contracts.

★ Skills Funding Agency (SFA) required external assurance reports and certificates for managing and controlling subcontractors.
★ Support to begin SFA Sub Contracting for the first time. Includes Skills Funding Agency (SFA) approval, Policies and Contracts, selection, procurement and monitoring.
★ Independent external review of current SFA Sub Contracted provision.
★ Ofsted Mock Inspections.
★ Ofsted Pre Inspection Action Planning to target a minimum Grade 2
★ Ofsted Post Inspection Action Planning to address issues identified and ensure readiness for re-inspection.
★ Support to develop and improve your internal Quality & Performance Management


★ Support to improve the performance and quality of your apprenticeship and/or work based learning delivery
★ Supportive Lesson Observations – graded or non graded lesson observations including joint lesson observations with internal observers
★ Lesson Observation Training – to ensure that internal observations accurately evaluate teaching, learning and assessment provide support and improve quality of feedback to staff
★ Self Assessment support – Critical friend review of the self assessment process and Self Assessment Report (SAR).
★ SAR Writing – training to staff groups on how to write an evaluative, evidence based SAR with an effective quality improvement plan.
★ Learner Journey Reviews … Typically a review of each stage of the learner journey to include work based and classroom learners.
