Sporting Equality Fund (Scotland)

The Scottish Government has announced a new fund to be set up to increase women’s participation, engagement and promotion in sport.

The £300,000 fund will be used to find ways to close the gender gap that emerges in the early teenage years when 71% of boys compared to 51% of girls say they are active participants in sport. The fund will be managed by SportScotland and more information on how it will be allocated will be available soon.
