Social Entrepreneurs Challenged to Transform Ageing in the South-West (UK)

Funded by Big Lottery, UnLtd’s Transform Ageing Challenge aims to revolutionise the approach to health, wellbeing and social care for people in later life. Starting in the South-West of England. UnLtd has designed six ‘Innovation Briefs’ to encourage social entrepreneurs from the south-west (and around the UK) to launch new services or products in the region, to directly meet the needs and desires of local people.

Entrepreneurs aged 16 and over, living in the UK who are not part of an established organisation are eligible to apply. The programme will run in the south-west of England (Devon, Torbay, Cornwall and Somerset) and support early stage social entrepreneurs and those who are ready to scale under two Early stage award strands:

  • Do It Awards are designed to help turn ideas into real ventures and offer 1-to-1 support, connections to specialist advisors and funding.
  • Grow It Awards provide support to successful ventures where entrepreneurs have proven their commitment and are ready to grow or become self-sustaining.

Expressions of Interest as the first stage of the application process should be submitted by 9am, 4th December 2017.
