This week’s newsletter bids, grants and Funds come to you in conjunction with our sponsors London Based Manley Summers Training. ESFA announcements: The procurement exercise for training provision to non-levy paying employers opened at the end of July and was due to close on September 4. However, the provider market has shown considerable interest in the procurement exercise and we have been responding to an unprecedented number of queries. We want to ensure that all providers get the opportunity to take into account the information we have provided and then reflect this into their bids if necessary, so we are therefore extending the deadlines by a short period. The new deadlines are as follows:
tender clarification deadline – Friday, 1 September at 12 noon
deadline for responses to tender clarifications – Tuesday, 5 September at 5pm
tender submission deadline – Friday, 8 September at 12 noon
These amendments apply to all potential providers. We believe that this short extension will give providers the best opportunity to submit a high quality bid in a fair way. It will not impact on the rest of the procurement delivery timetable and we will still be awarding contracts in December for a January 2018 start.
Due to this we have availability to do one more submission so if you are looking to go for this or you have done it but want to get a second opinion on your bid please let me know ASAP at email@example.com

News from Perry at Pearsons From Promissor to Pop, Notification of transition
Starting from 4 September 2017 we will be transferring all our onscreen assessments from Promissor to POP, as the version of Promissor which we have been using for most of our onscreen assessments will be decommissioned and will no longer be supported after 26 November 2017. POP will allow us to deliver new functions and testing improvements to you more effectively and to provide you with access to a wider range of delivery models via a more flexible and stable testing platform.
What does this change mean for you?
Any onscreen tests booked before 4 September will continue to be taken on Promissor until 26 November. All new test bookings made from 4 September should be booked and taken on POP.
We will be in touch prior to 4 September to ensure you have all the necessary support and guidance for this transition.
We hope that our new platform will give you and your learners a better experience, and welcome any feedback over the coming weeks.

OSCA for BTEC AND Functional Skills, Renew your registration
Don’t forget: even if you are accredited you still need to renew your registration from 1 September 2017 to ensure continual release of your certificates.
For new accreditation the window opens on 25 August and closes on 20 October 2017, with results being issued 03 November 2017.

Changes to Pearson Account Services phone numbers
In response to customer feedback we have changed our numbers to make sure our helplines are low cost for everyone.
From Monday 4 September, your dedicated Account Specialist can be contacted via 0344 576 0045 instead of 0844 576 0045.
Calls to the new number will cost no more than 1.6p per minute, with no additional access charge from your phone company.
The 0844 number will continue to be available in the short term, but we advise you to start using the 0344 number, to ensure you are not paying more than you need to when contacting us by telephone.
You will still be able to contact us via email using the usual address:
