As part of his Digital Talent Programme, the Mayor of London is funding research into the higher-level skills needs of London’s tech start-ups, Micros and SMEs, and we are proud to collaborate. We are delighted to invite you to contribute, too. You can play a crucial part in shaping the future of digital talent considering your specific business needs.
Join us in our focus group in December.
Tuesday 17th December, 4-8 pm @ Fashion and Textile Museum (83 Bermondsey St, Bermondsey, London SE1 3XF)
DSS Managing Director, Carlos Cubillo-Barsi, will present the project and provide an overview of the current employer demand for digital skills, outlining which ones we can expect to be more relevant in the workplace in the next few years. You will be part of three focus groups: Syntax Error – What are your short, medium and long term training and skills needs? Resources Needed – What are the gaps in training?
Network Acquired – What are the best routes for entrants?
Afterwards, you will be able to network with an intimate group of no more than 12 other key players representing a range of tech business types over a cocktail dinner and refreshments.
We look forward to meeting you soon! #tech #techtrends #digitaltraining #digital #digitalskills #apprenticeships #london #events #DSS
The Confederation of British Industry has urged the government not to restrict how the apprenticeship levy is spent in the face of opposition from nearly eight in ten businesses. Limits on age, income or level of training would make 78 per cent of 208 businesses and trade associations surveyed for the 2019 CBI and Pearson Education and Skills Annual Report either “dissatisfied” or “very dissatisfied”.
“Restrictions on how levy funds can be used could be counter-productive to addressing some of the biggest skills challenges employers face,” the report said.
Pearson say How will the SASE framework switch off on 31 July 2020 affect you?
We appreciate that 2020 will be a big year, with the change from SASE Frameworks to Standards, and we want to support you throughout the process.
We will be launching a series of sessions soon.
Sign up today with your email and we will send updates directly to you.
