NEW RESEARCH – Young people and employment
Reed in Partnership has published a new report ‘Young people and employment’, which details the findings of their new survey of over 2,300 young people.
Reed in Partnership is a national provider of public services and since 1998 have helped over 150,000 people move into sustainable employment.
Their report sets out to understand the employment barriers young people face and provides recommendations to help them move into work. Research found:
– a part time job while at school significantly boosts future employment prospects
– a lack of experience is the biggest barrier to work for young people
– more than a third of young people said their careers advice was poor
