NEW ESF Funding Opportunity – London Work and Health Programme

The new Work and Health Programme (WHP) will replace the current Work Programme and Work Choice provision in London in early 2018.  As announced by the Chancellor in the 2016 Autumn Statement the London elements of WHP have been co-designed by London government and the Department for Work and Pensions. WHP will support individuals who have been unemployed for longer than two years or who have struggled to get into work due to health problems or disability, into sustainable employment. ESF funding1 will be utilised to significantly enhance the scale of the WHP in London.  The London boroughs, working together through Sub-Regional Partnerships, will commission and manage these programmes. The four contracts will cover the following areas:

Central London Forward – covering Camden, the City of London, Islington, Kensington and Chelsea, Lambeth, Southwark, Wandsworth, Westminster and Hackney, Haringey, Tower Hamlets, Lewisham for employment devolution

Local London – covering Barking and Dagenham, Bexley, Enfield, Greenwich, Havering, Newham, Redbridge, Waltham Forest and Bromley for employment devolution

West London Alliance – covering Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon and Hounslow

South London Partnership – covering Croydon, Kingston upon Thames, Merton, Richmond upon Thames and Sutton

The Sub-Regional Partnerships have now launched the procurement of their WHP contracts. To find out more information and apply for the opportunities, potential applicants will need to register on the capital e-sourcing portal:
