NCVO has published guidance on no-deal Brexit

NCVO makes clear the dangers a no-deal Brexit poses to charities and their work. It is therefore all the more important that the sector thinks now about what we can do to reduce the possible impact of these dangers.

According to the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR), a no-deal Brexit could cause a recession. It claims this could result in:

  • the economy shrinking by 2%
  • unemployment rising above 5%
  • house prices falling by around 10%.

Why it matters for voluntary organisations

In times of economic difficulty, need increases, and the work of voluntary organisations becomes all the more important. Voluntary organisations must remain financially robust in order to cope with the needs of beneficiaries and support the communities we work in.
