What is the Core Maths curriculum?
In 2014 the government launched the Core Maths curriculum, with 6 new qualifications to encourage more pupils to study maths post 16. It aims to teach pupils how to apply maths
in real life situations and build on their GCSE skills using more advanced methods and techniques. To support the introduction of these new qualifications the Education and Training Foundation is funding a series of professional development opportunities across England.
