Kirklees Activities for Young Adult Mental Health

Kirklees Council

Community Partnerships is looking for community based projects which take innovative or radical approaches to supporting young adults aged 16-25 to improve their health and wellbeing with a particular focus on developing good mental health. We are looking for peer support projects which help young adults to develop their skills in self-care, enabling them to be independent, self-sufficient and resourceful so that they are able to confidently manage their needs and maximise their potential.

Proposals will need to recognise the distinct needs young adults have and place mental health support within the wider context of their lives including their physical health, relationships, education and employment. This opportunity will offer 12 months seed funding to get the project (s) off the ground.

Please read the proposal for full details in addition to the Investment Guidance document.

Initially an Expression of Interest form needs to be submitted by Friday 7th October 2016.  Community Partnerships will then inform you by 20thOctober 2016 if you have been invited to submit a full application which has a deadline of 18th November 2016 and a full decision on the funding will be made by 23rd January 2017.

Any queries should be directed to the Community Partnerships team on 01484 225142 or by email to

Deadline: 07/10/2016
