Job Coaches for Supported Internships

Enfield’s Skills for Work Service is looking to recruit a pool of Job Coaches to support young people (16-24 year olds) with a disability on the supported internship programme. We are inviting expressions of interest for this opportunity. Please register your interest in being included on the Authority’s select list of approved providers for this service by completing and submitting the attached Expression of Interest questionnaire.

The primary focus of the Job Coach is to provide work related support to individuals taking part in the Supported Internships Programme. You will provide support to young people with a disability during their work placement by helping them learn to perform the job accurately, efficiently and safely. The applicant must be registered as self-employed and will be required to have in place Public Liability Insurance cover and Professional Indemnity Insurance.

The applicant will be expected to apply for the DBS check. The cost of the DBS check will be covered by the applicant. – References will be taken up. Please refer to the specification for full details. Skills for Work Service gives no guarantee of volumes, promise of work or payment from the Council to those appointed. Providers are currently able to submit their expressions of interest up to 31 May 2017; however this date may change depending on funding and availability of work placements.
