Ideas that Change Lives Programme (Leeds)

Individuals or third sector organisations who help people over 16 years old in Leeds live independently in their own homes have until the 12th October 2016 to apply for funding of between £500 and £15,000 through the Ideas that Change Lives Programme.

The programme offers business support and financial investment to develop socially enterprising ideas that enable people in Leeds with care and support needs to remain independent. The programme is particularly looking to support:

  • Ideas that make a real impact with older people
  • People with learning disability
  • Physical disability or sensory impairment
  • People with mental health needs
  • People with alcohol or substance use issues
  • Those with long term health conditions
  • Carers and young people in transition between services.

The types of activity funded will include:

  • Alternatives to traditional day care and support services
  • Brokerage
  • Health and wellbeing promoting activities
  • Employment related opportunities.

There are three investment levels available:

  • Community Capacity: £500 – £2,000
  • Kick Start: £500 – £5,000
  • Development: £5,000 – £15,000
