HealthRegard (Nottinghamshire and Nottingham)

The People’s Health Trusts (HealthRegard) programme which covers Nottinghamshire and Nottingham, is open for applications until the 12th October 2016.

HealthRegard is part of the Active Communities programme which provides grant funding of between £5,000 and £25,000 per year for projects designed and led by local people which target areas most affected by health inequalities. Projects will be small and local and could cover a few streets, a housing estate or a small village. They will last for between twelve months and two years and will make neighbourhoods better places to grow, live, work and age.

To date HealthRegard has made grants totalling £1,097,377 for health related projects in their area and previous projects supported include:

Gedling Sports Partnership (Killisick) which received £47,572 for a two year project that will provide opportunities for parents and children to come together with free after-school childcare and after school activity sessions for children aged 8 to 11.

Hope Springs Horticulture in Worksop which received a grant of £37,440 to deliver a horticultural project, engaging 40 people with mild to moderate mental health issues.
