Funding for Community Projects that Prevent Hate Crimes (England and Wales)

The Home Office is inviting community groups and consortia of community groups to apply for funding for projects that prevent hate crime.

A total of £300,000 is available and the Home Office expects to fund between 6 – 8 projects. The Home Office is looking to fund innovative programmes that help to prevent hate crime and issues associated with it. Specifically, the aim of the fund is to work with affected communities to fund the development of innovative projects that:

  • Prevent hate crime
  • Respond to hate crime in our communities
  • Increase the reporting of hate crime
  • Improve support for the victims of hate crime
  • Build understanding of hate crime.

The programme development must involve stakeholders who are affected by, or are past or potential perpetrators of hate crime.

The closing date for applications is 8pm on the 14th October 2016
