Family Learning Courses

London Borough Merton

This provision is targeted at families and carers who have school age children, especially those who need help to enable their children to learn well, be healthy and happy.

These courses should have a clear purpose of contributing to a culture of learning in the family. The activities should be for both the children and adults and will have learning outcomes intended for both. We particularly welcome bids from providers who can engage hard to reach learners and those in most need of provision.

Provision should be locally based and timetabled around school hours. Learners may apply for courses directly or be referred by schools, family centres, children’s centres, library services or other appropriate organisations.

The tender has been split into 4 lots. Providers may tender for an individual lot, several, or all lots, using a separate method statement template for each lot that is bid for.

We are inviting quotations in the following 4 lots:

Lot 1      Family English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

Lot 2      English and maths skills to support children’s learning and chances

Lot 3      Creative learning

Lot 4      Healthy living including healthy eating and fitness

Deadline: 13/04/2017
