The Competition is organised by the European Commission (DG Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs) with the support of Nesta, Euclid Network and of the consortium Ascent Communications.

The aim of the competition is to raise awareness of the potential of social innovation to foster growth, entrepreneurship and to provide solutions to current challenges.

The competition includes a strong mentoring and networking component which is intended to benefit all the successful contestants, not just the winners. Ultimately, the aim is to turn the best ideas into tangible and sustainable projects.

Three winning projects will be awarded €50,000 each.

Deadline for applications to the 2017 competition: 7 April 2017.
