European Cultural Foundation – Idea Camp and R&D Grants
European Cultural Foundation – Idea Camp and R&D Grants
The European Cultural Foundation (ECF) aims to support innovative cross-border collaborations with a view to developing collaborative practice and boosting the cultural dimension of a richly diverse Europe. Collaborations within, across and beyond the borders of the EU are all possible. The ECF are interested in projects reflecting a confrontation with the unfamiliar or unknown as well as those aiming to strengthen ties with neighbouring regions.
The ECF distribute funds based on the following eligibility criteria:
Empowerment of people through art and culture: ECF want to support different communities in Europe and particularly encourage the exchange and empowerment of under-represented groups.
Connecting sources of knowledge: ECF believe sharing and connecting knowledge is vital in creating an open Europe.
Linking policy and practice: ECF are interested in projects that help build an open Europe by contributing to cultural policy development locally, nationally, regionally and at a European level.
The ECF supports three grant programmes:
Idea Camp/R&D Grants – a networked approach, aiming to connect local cultural change-makers, raising awareness of their creative potential to generate new social, environmental, economic and democratic models through their cultural practices.
Balkan Incentive Fund for Culture – aims to support collaborative artistic and cultural projects delivered by organisations within, or cooperating with the Western Balkan region.
STEP Beyond Travel grants – designed to enable artists and cultural workers to move easily across national borders to meet peers, exchange views, inspire each other and create new partnerships.
