In June 2013 the Government set out the allocation of European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF), including ESF money for the full 7-year period. The allocation was divided across LEP (Local Enterprise Partnership) areas in England, with funds being distributed and managed by the ESF Managing Authority (MA). LEPs have an advisory role and they documented their local/strategic needs in an ESIF Strategy.
This Provision is voluntary and will aim to tackle the worklessness of disadvantaged individuals who have been unemployed or inactive for 3 months or more. The Provider will engage with Participants to identify and address barriers to work using a range of specialist support/provision, improving the Participant’s chances of securing and sustaining employment at the earliest opportunity.
Estimated cost excluding VAT: 9 000 000 GBP
The Contracting Authority intends to use an eTendering system in this procurement exercise and reserves the right to use a reverse auction.
