Engineering Education Grant Scheme (UK)

The Institute of Engineering and Technology is accepting applications for funding through the Engineering Education Grant Scheme (EEGS).

The scheme aims to engage young people aged 5-19 in learning about engineering and to develop the professional skills of those involved in supporting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) learning and careers awareness. The EEGS also supports projects that improve wider engineering literacy. There are two levels of funding available. Awards of up to £5000 are available for standard applications to the fund, and up-to-four awards of £15,000 are available each year. Any organisation able to develop and deliver educational activities is eligible to apply. This includes schools, Institute of Engineering and Technology or Institution of Mechanical Engineers members and STEM organisations.

Applications for funding must be endorsed by an authorised representative of the IET or IMechE no later than 11th March 2017 and must be submitted by the 1st April 2017.
