Comic Relief Local Communities Funding (Cambridgeshire)

The Cambridgeshire Community Foundation has announced that the Comic Relief Local Communities programme is open for applications.

Comic Relief is working with UK Community Foundations to provide grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 to support projects that improve people’s life skills, education, employability and enterprise or Advance people’s physical and mental health, wellbeing and safety.

Priority will be given to projects run by small, locally based groups or organisations in areas of disadvantage that have a clear understanding of the needs of their community and are undertaking actions as a means of addressing these needs. The funding is available to Community Groups, Resident Associations, Community Centres, Social Enterprises/Community Interest Companies and Credit Unions.

A Local Communities grant must be at least 30% of the total cost of the project. Please note: there is limited funding with approximately £13,000 available this round.

The closing date for applications is the 1st November 2016.
