Adult and Young People’s Skills, Learning and Training Programme Funding Opportunities

Wigan Council

This notice is intended to indicate that Wigan Council shall be seeking provider partners to support the delivery of educational, skills and training programmes in Wigan for the period August 2017 to July 2018 in the area of Adult Skills Budget Funding — Legal Entitlement and Local Flexibility. In allocating funding Wigan Council’s key principles are to target young people and adults currently not accessing learning, who are unemployed and/or have a low skill base, and who live in one of the more deprived wards in the borough.

The Adult Skills Budget supports the delivery of flexible and responsive provision to learners and employers. Local Flexibility is learning for personal and community development, cultural enrichment, intellectual or creative stimulation and for enjoyment. In most cases there would be no formal qualification outcome attached to such learning. Legal Entitlement is learning for Maths and English — Entry Level 1 to Level 2 Functional Skills, which will lead to a qualification outcome.

Value excluding VAT: 742 568.00 GBP
