David Coleman is an education professional with over 20 years experience. He has extensive knowledge of the Vocational Education and Skills Sector. He has been part of the senior management teams in Colleges in London and Essex. He has worked for Government funding agencies, writing tender specifications and assessing bid and worked for Local Authorities providing strategic leadership to increase participation in post 16 education/skills and raising awareness of apprenticeship for business and to increase the opportunities for young people (16-24) supporting training providers with curriculum design and planning and preparation for Ofsted inspection He was a member of the South East Local Enterprise Partnership Skills Advisory Board, The East of England Education and Skills group and has been involved in the recent government devolution discussion with local authorities. He is the Chair of the Core Partnership of South East Talent Match Big Lottery programme, working with Princes Trust overseeing the Governance of the programme. He continues to work with Government Departments to improve tracking the destination of post 18 learners.
