Fund to Help Tackle the Disability Employment Gap Launched (England, Scotland and Wales)
A new multi-million pound has been announced that aims to help more disabled people in the workplace. Grants of a minimum of £50,000 from a total pot of £4.2million will be awarded to employers, charities, social enterprises, local authorities or health bodies to test new, innovative approaches that have the potential to help people experiencing mental health and/or musculoskeletal conditions to stay in work. Initiatives supported will focus on self-management; work capacity advice and support; adjustments to working environments or joining up of services. The deadline for applications to the UK Governments Challenge Fund is 5pm on Friday 17th August 2018.
